Burt Myers Focused On A Return To North-South Shootout Glory

Burt Myers won a sixth career Bowman Gray Track Championship this season, and he finished off the NASCAR season with a race win, but a return to victory lane in the 11th annual $60,000 John Blewett Memorial North-South Shootout on November 9 remains his biggest challenge.

Blewett won the NSS in 2008 and 2009, but he has struggled to find success at the Caraway, North Carolina track, which hosts the North-South Shootout for a third consecutive season next month. Myers set fast time and led 62 laps in the most recent Caraway NWSMT race, but the Walnut Cove, N.C., driver has struggled to find victory lane there.

"It's always a race that we look forward to," Myers said following his pole run last month. "It's kind of a free for all. The best of the north and the best of the south trying to come together. We're looking forward to it. more info..
